FR: (finger recognition) (2018)

There will be a minute chip implant available for the underside of your right index finger when you reach 18, it will hold your NHS number, your date of birth and other useful info. This will be used as identity in case of accidents, blood type and information on whether you wish to donate organs, maybe even enable you to use your finger on a touch screen to pay at supermarkets. Like an internal identity card.
Main drawback will be the potential of finger stealingMmmmmm nasty!
But it will bring a whole new meaning to 'give em the finger'.

Much better idea to have the implant on your right buttock. Much harder to amputate. Of course that presents a bit of a problem in the supermarket scenario. Maybe they could build special seats for touch screening.
