Where was Harry Potter born?
Now this might seem a silly question but the manager of our local said he will give the children a free dessert with our Sunday lunch if we can give him the correct answer! As my partners two little girls are always reading Harry Potter we thought they would know the answer, but no. So me thinks soon find it on an Internet search. Well we tried quickly but could not really find a specific answer. Now all the brains out there on Noddleit someone will surely know. I hope. Cheers

I agree with you and Jenny too. I have never read Harry Potter or seen any films but assumed he meant the characters birthplace in the books etc. Otherwise I would not have put the question on here in the first place. It was very interesting reading up about her though. A real Rags to Riches tale!

Never read it but I respect JK Rowling, at one point whilst trying to get published I think she was so broke she was sleeping in her car!

Oh right. A bit like Shylock, Portia and Othello were all born in Stratford and not Venice. I still think Jenny's right.

Hi All. We got the answer out of the manager and this is what he said:- Apparently it is Oporto in Portugal. That is where J K Rowling first penned Harry Potter. Oporto now use it in their Travel Guide as the birthplace of Harry Potter. www.gooporto.com/.>> But after reading more on the life of J K Rowling today. I think she had him in her head when she was in the UK. Did you know she went to Exeter University? It was a little bit of a catch question tho. No free desserts tomorrow:-(
