 | | mephisto - 2009-05-25 11:58:34 | | | As we walked along the dark beach, feeling our way with bare feet at the lapping waters edge, I gazed up at the dazzling spectacle of shiny dots, trying to join them in my head and make Pegasus or The Bear! Continuing on my way, hand in hand with my gorgeous woman we stopped to embrace, feeling a wonderful warm sea on our feet and ankles! We returned to the car listening to the rolling breakers and gentle breeze, turned on the music, reached for each other and then gazed into one anothers eyes and she whispered gently " do you think that warm sea was a sewrage outlet if not your feet stink!" | | Nod+ (0) | Report | Follow |

 | | Cuddy - 2009-05-23 20:27:54 | | | I retreated back to the shelter wet and sodden. I dried myself off and headed down to the mariner where the sea was calmer. The pontoons rocked gently as the deep blue rolled in smoothly treating you as if you were a baby wanting to be rocked to sleep. yet through the small gap in the wall was a raging animal prepared to kill. I sat alone in deep thought watching the dog show off doing tricks you never imagined. Thinking how lucky i was to live in such a place! I looked around; there was no one else to witness such a scene that to them may have looked a mess, storm or just one of those cold bad days, it was derelict, i was alone. No boats, no people, no birds, just me, alone. But little did you know that beneath the surface of the water was a deep splendour of fish, crabs, seaweed, dolphins, rock and sand. The fish would be darting in and out of the knotting seaweed looking for a rock to hide under and sit out the storm above. The crabs being flipped into shore catching the waves, dolphins riding playfully in and the sand dancing around, jive, salsa, quickstep and hip hop, a place no one had ever witnessed before. Then what came with it was wood, the barrels and all the other rubbish people had simply disregarded and didn't think would matter. The vision of beauty was turned into a dump. It would never be the same again. | | Nod+ (0) | Report | Follow |

 | | Cuddy - 2009-05-23 20:27:46 | | | Heading towards the coast i could witness the sea violently bounding over walls soaking people as they walked by. Driving along the front didging waves as they vaulted at your car, we looked out at the decaying colour of the water. We parked in the car park and headed towards the pier. As soon as you hit the open, the bitter coldness hit you like a brick wall. The wind swirled around everything making your nose and your lips chapped. Wrapped up warn and full of excitement i headed towards Haldon Pier, but it was closed. I had to settle for the wa;;. I looked out to sea breathing in the fresh air bring blown in from every angle. The wave raged towards the beach braking with anger way out in the bay. They were as big as trees as they approached the pier wall, riding the wall like a skateboard to a ramp. The gyrating waves bewildered me, such a scene of brutal beauty. I turned my back for a second to invite others to come and spedulate this performance being made, when i was suddenly grasped by the water, it hugged me as it fell towards the ground. As i emerged from beneath the wave i was dripping with salt water. The sea had turned into a dog, it was trying to jump out of its cage over the wall and would cover you in slobber as a cry for help yet it was so violent and angry. Had it been treated wrongly? | | Nod+ (0) | Report | Follow |
